A 1991 graduate from Mooresville High School with a family heritage in Morgan county for over 100 years, quite a community investment! Angela attended Purdue University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 1995, graduating Purdue's Veterinary School graduating May, 1999. Her special interest in Equine Practice & opened Horse & Hound in 2003, as an ambulatory practice. Dr. Blackwell has been a Certified Veterinary Chiropractor since 2000. Having an interest in lameness and diagnostics, Dr. Blackwell thoroughly enjoys continuing education and the latest technology available. A huge advocate for equine health, she sits on the board of several non-profit rescues as well as participating in rehabilitation and adoption. A member of the AAEP, IAEP, AVMA and IVMA. Dr. Blackwell's hobbies include three day eventing, dressage, trail riding, fishing, hunting and above all, family time.
Dr. Rowe lives on a farm in Avon where she has miniature horses, donkeys, chickens, dogs, cats, and birds. She was born in Louisville, KY and moved to Indiana where she graduated in 1972 from Carmel High School. She attended Purdue University and graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. She initially worked as an equine vet for fifteen years before making the switch to small animal care. Dr. Rowe began full time at HHVC in 2008 and her major focus is the human animal bond. She thrives on education and enjoys educating families on how to have a happy healthy pet.
Dr. Hopper, a Purdue graduate of 1999, became a member of the Horse and Hound team in 2014. Specializing in small animal veterinary care, with a focus on internal medicine, her upbringing on a southern Indiana farm fostered a lifelong connection with animals. Dr. Hopper finds fulfillment in delivering individualized, lifelong care to her patients, excelling in proactive preventive care and the management of those with multiple health issues.
Outside of her veterinary duties, she indulges in quality time, baking with her daughter, fishing with her son, and exploring national parks. Adding charm to her life are her spirited Shih Tzu, June Bug, and the dashing English Setter, Range.
Dr. Perry is a 2020 graduate of Purdue’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she tracked Mixed Animal medicine. While in school, Dr. Perry spent 3 weeks with an externship at Horse & Hound and shared time between the equine and small animal sides. She loves the variety of animals and diverse range of experiences that mixed animal medicine gives her. Dr. Perry's favorite thing about veterinary medicine is the ability to pair up with you, the owner, to make sure that your animal gets the best care possible and give you some peace of mind.
Dr. Kemper is an Internal Medicine specialists offering consultations to provide expert advice and advanced treatment options here at HHVC! She is also certififed in rehabilitation.
Dr. Kemper is a 2012 graduate of Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed an equine Internship at the University of Missouri and a 3-year Residency in Equine Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. After teaching at the University of Illinois and Washington State Colleges of Veterinary Medicine for several years, Dr. Kemper transitioned to ambulatory practice at Horse & Hound. She is also certified in Acupuncture, and enjoys the immediate positive response to treatment.
Alicia has been with Horse & Hound Veterinary Clinic since 2020. She's your go-to person for all questions and small animal appointments. Paula joined HHVC in 2022 as a Client Service Representative. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs at home.
Casie recently joined HHVC this September 2024 - She's a local (2019) Mooresville High School graduate. May 2024, Casie graduated with a BS in Equine Science & Management from the University of Kentucky. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family, friends, and two Dobermans.
Ashley is HHVC's Small Animal Surgery Lead RVT. She joined the team in the spring of 2020 after graduating with an AAS from Owensboro Community and Technical College; Subsequently completing her registration in 2019. Ashley also has a BS in Theatre Arts , and enjoys freelancing as a stage manager occasionally in her free time. She loves

Lauren joined us in 2022 after moving from Florida. She has years of experience as a veterinary technician, including work at an Ophthalmology clinic. Lauren is our resident cat-lady and her feline handling skills are exceptional.
When not at work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, their dog, and cats.
Blain is the man that makes your drive into the clinic so clean & crisp! He mows, paints, & maintains the outside & inside to upkeep our "home away from home."
Pat maintains the phones and cameras here for us at HHVC. Pat has been working at Horse and Hound since August 2016, just retiring as our outdoor handyman! Pat and his wife, Jo, have 2 horses, 2 dogs, and 1 cat.
Our beloved Tookie passed away, October 9, 2024.
Our clinic Princess lived here at HHVC since 2010 when she showed up in the horse barn. She enjoyed naps in the sunshine & helping the CSR's at the front desk. Tookie was full of love and was a great stress-reliever for staff & clients alike :)
Megan is a 2018 graduated of Ben Davis High School. She keeps herself busy with another full-time job on top of her time with us at HHVC!
Megan's hobbies include barrel racing, pole bending and family time. She has five horses, two dogs, & a cat.
Paige (RVT) is a 2023 Vet Tech Institute-IBC Graduate with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Science. She joined HHVC in December of 2023 as an Equine Technician. When she is not working she enjoys spending time reading, working with her 2 dogs and 2 horses.
Mikaela is a RVT and 2023 Purdue University graduate with a Bachleor's degree in veterinary nursing. She did her intership with Horse and Hound in 2022, and fell in love with the atmosphere and opportunities she was presented with, so she joined as a full-time technician shortly after graduating in May.

Mikaela is currently the only versa technician who sees patients on both the equine and small animal sides of the clinic. She is passionate about advocating for patients of all sizes and providing them the best care possible.
When she is not working, she enjoys reading, watching movies and TV shows, and spending time with her 2 horses, 2 rescue dogs, and blind cat.
Mackenzie graduated from Troy Price Horseshoeing School in 2022. Mackenzie keeps herself busy working here at HHVC as well as maintaining her clientele as a farrier.
If you can’t find her here or with clients, Mackenzie enjoys getting to spend time with family and friends as well as with her horse AppleJax and her dog Bama.
